Biofeedback is a wonderful, computerized technique that provides a window into our bodies allowing us to see the excess muscle tension or poor breathing patterns that can cause the feelings of anxiety or stress that we feel. Even more excitingly, biofeedback allows us to learn to change these physical states that cause so much distress and pain.

Biofeedback is applicable to a wide variety of problems including anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, pain, irritable bowel syndrome, migraine, tension headache, hypertension, jaw pain (TMJ) and others. It is very effective in combination with Cognitive Behavior Therapy.

One advantage of biofeedback is that it is entirely natural as it relies on everyone's own ability to make themselves better.
